2

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the Service with parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3

Service Description

The Space Before Help provides anonymous peer support through text-based conversations with trained listeners. Our Service is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, crisis intervention, or emergency services. We provide peer support — not therapy, counseling, or medical advice.

4

User Accounts

You may create an account using an anonymous username. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Community Guidelines. You may not use the Service to: harass, abuse, or harm others; impersonate any person or entity; share illegal content; attempt to breach security; use automated systems without permission; or interfere with others' use of the Service.

6

Listener Services

Our listeners are trained peer supporters, not licensed mental health professionals. They provide empathetic listening and support but cannot diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or provide professional advice. In crisis situations, listeners will direct you to appropriate emergency resources.

7

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

12

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.

Important Notice

The Space Before Help is a peer support service, not a mental health provider. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services (911), the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988), or go to your nearest emergency room.
