We're Building the Bridge
The Space Before Help exists because we know what it is like to need someone to listen — and not be ready to ask for help.
Our story
Built from the inside.
Every year, over 700,000 people die by suicide worldwide. But the most alarming statistic is not about those who die — it is about the 70% of people with mental health challenges who never receive any form of treatment.
The barrier is not a shortage of resources. It is the space before people are ready to use them — filled with stigma, fear of judgment, and the accumulated weight of past experiences where opening up made things worse.
For neurodivergent individuals, those barriers are larger. A lifetime of masking. Healthcare systems not designed for their communication styles. Diagnosis waiting lists running years, costing thousands. Suicide risk three to eight times higher than the general population.
The Space Before Help was not built from market research. It was built from the knowledge of what it feels like to live in that space — and the conviction that the world needs something specifically designed for it.
This is that space.
The people behind the mission
Our team
A small founding team with deep personal investment in the problem we are solving.

Our journey
The Idea
Born from personal experience with the gap between struggling alone and seeking professional help. The problem was lived before it was researched.
Research and Planning
Deep research into peer support models, neurodivergent mental health, ND screening tools, and the business architecture needed to make this sustainable.
Building
Platform development underway. Waitlist open. The three service tracks — peer support, ND screening, and professional care — taking shape.
How we operate
Our values
Safety First
Every design decision starts with user safety. We maintain robust crisis protocols with a human always in the loop.
Authentic Connection
Real humans with lived experience. No scripts, no AI pretending to be human, no judgment — just genuine presence.
Neurodivergent-Led
Built by and for neurodivergent people. Not adapted after, not mentioned as a feature — woven into every decision.
Privacy as Default
Anonymous by design. No real names required. You control what you share and when — from the first session.
Global alignment
UN Sustainable Development Goals
Our platform directly contributes to four global development goals — not as a framing exercise, but as an honest description of the problems we are solving and who we are solving them for.
Reducing barriers to mental health support, targeting the pre-treatment gap where most people exist.
Addressing the student mental health crisis directly through university partnerships.
Supporting employee wellbeing through our B2B employer track.
Closing the health access gap that neurodivergent people face globally.
